A Visionary in Oncoplastic Surgery
Mr Khout is a pioneer in the field of oncoplastic breast surgery—a discipline that seamlessly integrates the necessity of cancer removal with the artistry of plastic surgery. His clinical practice is centred on providing patients with "one-stop" diagnostic excellence and advanced surgical solutions. He is highly specialized in breast conservation, complex reconstructions using chest wall flaps, and lipofilling. Beyond oncological necessity, Mr Khout is a certified cosmetic breast surgeon, offering a full spectrum of aesthetic procedures including breast augmentation, mastopexy (uplift), and the revision of complex scars and previous reconstructions. His unique ability to combine oncological safety with superior aesthetic outcomes ensures that his patients receive holistic care that addresses both physical health and psychological well-being.

Academic Excellence and Research Leadership
As an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham’s School of Medicine, Mr Khout is at the forefront of medical education and cutting-edge research. His academic portfolio is exceptionally diverse, holding master’s degrees in general surgery, Healthcare Leadership, and Genomic Medicine. This rare combination of expertise allows him to bridge the gap between traditional surgery and the future of precision medicine. Mr Khout is a prolific researcher, securing millions of pounds in grant funding. Notably, he serves as the Lead for Surgery on an MRC-funded project investigating OCT-Raman spectral imaging for intraoperative margin detection, as well as an NIHR project focused on sentinel lymph node biopsies. His work has been published in world-renowned journals, including Nature and the British Journal of Surgery, making significant contributions to the global understanding of breast cancer biology and surgical techniques.

Leadership and Innovation in the NHS
Throughout his tenure, Mr Khout has held several high-level leadership positions. He served as the Head of Breast Services at the Nottingham Breast Institute (2021-2022). He was the Professional Clinical Advisor in Breast Surgery for Public Health England (East Midlands) for nearly a decade. An innovator at heart, he founded and chairs the Nottingham Oncoplastic Breast Forum (OPF), a multidisciplinary model designed to ensure every patient has access to the latest reconstructive options. His leadership has been recognized with the NHS Leadership Academy Award in Senior Healthcare Leadership and the prestigious PMED award, which celebrates trainers who provide exceptional patient care and foster a successful working environment.
